What is ILEA LOS ANGELES?

The ILEA Los Angeles functions as part of ILEA International. Leadership of ILEA and ILEA LA is organized as follows:

Internationally, ILEA is led by a twelve member Board of Directors. This Board communicates with the local chapters via Regional Vice-Presidents, each representing a geographic segment of the United States. Additionally, International Committees assist the Board of Directors in areas such as conference development, membership and education.

The ILEA LA Board of Directors governs this local chapter and makes all decisions regarding our local educational programs, finances, communication with our members, etc. Elections to this board are held yearly and offer either one or two year positions.

ILEA History

The International Special Events Society (ISES) was founded in 1987 in response to phenomenal growth in the industry, a growing demand for promoting professionalism, and providing continuing education. ISES is the only international association which serves as an umbrella organization bringing together the many different disciplines involved in the special events industry. In 2016, ISES changed its name to ILEA, International Live Events Association.
