As the entrepreneurial arm of the San Francisco Giants organization, Giants Enterprises was launched in 2000 to help maximize business opportunities in and around Oracle Park. For more than 100 years the San Francisco Travel Association has worked on behalf of its partners to promote San Francisco as the destination of choice for conventions and leisure travel. Co-sponsor of the 2018 GMID event held at Oracle Park, The Association is an outgrowth of the San Francisco Convention and Tourist League, a non-profit, local business association founded in 1909 to reclaim the City's position as a world-class destination in the wake of the devastating 1906 earthquake and fire. San Francisco Travel continues that mission today, aggressively marketing and selling San Francisco to attract visitors. In 2016, San Francisco hosted more than 25.2 million visitors who spent $9 billion during their stay.

Net proceeds from GMID 2019 will be shared between two beneficiary organizations—one global and one local.

ECPAT-USA - Human trafficking and the commercial sexual exploitation of children is a global crisis and one to which the meetings industry is dedicated to ending. Join us in supporting ECPAT-USA, the first U.S.-based nonprofit to work to end the issue. In partnership with ECPAT-USA, several industry organizations have signed The Code of Conduct for the Protection of Children from Sexual Exploitation in Travel and Tourism.

St. Anthony Foundation - Homelessness is an issue with which the Bay Area is very familiar. It is of special concern to the meetings and tourism industry. The St. Anthony Foundation mission to support homeless and needy individuals is guided by five values: healing, community, personalism, justice, and gratitude. GMID 2019’s gift will support the purchase of much-needed capital equipment.

To make an additional donation to be shared between our two beneficiaries, please complete as a part of your event registration. Volunteers will also be on site at GMID to accept your donations by cash, check, or credit card.
